    Yes. People who can't manage their personal affairs might now be able to manage the company's affairs adequately. In addition, people in desperate financial situations might embezzle funds or steal from the company.

    Nope. Your financial situation is your business and should have no bearing on your work. Your employer is not going to give you a pay increase because your personal financial situation has changed or gotten worse. And if you won the lottery your employer would only care from the perspective of if it meant you were going to quit your job and they would need to replace you.

    Of course not.  He has his own life to worry about.  Your personal life is your business.  Don't bring it to work.
