You obey your mother and stop asking. The more you whine and cry and the like, the less likely you will ever get them. Your mother is making it clear that she won't allow you to have them so give it up and move on

Yup, I'm with Maxi on this. She keeps changing the conditions, so that's a hard no. She doesn't want pets and she doesn't want to tell you no outright.
