Does the effectiveness and capability of militarized goods to perform tasks and make such tasks safer, justify the blurring of the line?

The line between what is military life and what is civilian life..

Jeep Wrangler and gladiator Rubicon Convertibles..

The ability to not necessarily need roads, and it a very reliable, nimble and tough 4x4..

Tactical Baby Gear "TBG"

Allows me to quickly serve all of my baby's needs, on the fly, at any time..

And to protect my baby from some of the less intelligent facts of American life.. like violent crime.

And allows me to always have my baby with me at any time under any conditions.

Cabella's mossy oak camo furniture and bedding,

And Browning bedding..

Very warm at night.. and never a cluttered house.

Browning pet supplies and recon k9..

Allows me to bring my dog anywhere at anytime under any conditions and to perform any tasks normally given to dogs.

I have never had my dog run away and it allows my dog to carry things...

Or more accurately.. have me carry things ON my dog.

:P

Wilderness systems A.T.A.K 120 Kayak, Revere marine equipment, and tactical, medical, kayaking equipment, MREs and Life saving equipment from Cabellas kept me alive during a hurricane..

Military firearms, and bulletproofing stopped me from being killed twice and robbed once..

Military tactical luggage allows to me carry and store anything...

All Militarism..

Fingerprint locks and wireless alarms and heavy duty doors and bulletproof glass... and baby surveillance equipment...

Technology Straight out of America's prison industrial complex, kept burglars out of my house...

The examples you list are a mere drop in the ocean that separates the military experience from the civilian experience. Products develop with military influence and touch civilian life as a matter of the free market but the effect is negligible. What is probably more concerning is the increased use of military grade equipment by law enforcement, and the increased willingness of government officials to employ the national guard to deal with riots. That's where one can argue that militarization may actually be happening these days.

Of course the military should us civilian technology.
