EMF source potential difference?

A 14 Ω resistor and a 6.0 Ω resistor are con- nected in series with an emf source. The potential difference across the 6.0 Ω resistor is measured with a voltmeter to be 18 V.

    I = E/R = 18/6 = 3 amps

    V = IR = 3•(6+14) = 60 volts

    18/6=3A

    6+14=20Ω

    20Ω*3A=60V
