What do you thinki of the girls' name Eleanor?
I used to love it, then one of my friends pointed it sounded like an old lady's name. Then I saw this commerical where the baby's name was Eleanor, and it has me liking the name again. What do you guys think? Is the name too outdated?

I love it! It's elegant, easily pronounced, and has some cute nicknames (if that's your thing). History is loaded with tons of kickass women named Eleanor.

If you like the name, use it. No matter what name you choose there will always be someone who make a negative comment in regards to the name. In my opinion it is not an "outdated" name.

I do think of it as an old lady name. It's making a comeback, though like a lot of old fashioned names. I don't hate it but I'd never use it.

What was once thought of as an older outdated name is back in style.
I know a couple who just named their daughter Eleonora. I am seeing it pop up now.

Eleanor is a lovely name, a timeless classic. I was born in 1990 and there were loads of Eleanors that I grew up with, so it's definitely not an old lady name. Lots of cute nickname options too - Ellie, Elle, Ella, Nora, Lea, Annie...

I think it’s cute. And I like the nickname Nora instead . It’s my cousins kids name.
