Why do men decide to have children? Do they not realize that life is as difficult as concrete and very very expensive? ?
I guess all those things go out the window when you are with the "one" but that can always change and Children are an irreversible condition once their born. Coming from an Antinatalist point of view, it's only possible in perfectly conceived cruel sadistic world that someone's 10-15 seconds of fun could pass on a on to a sentimental being pain receptor capacities while having to face an inevitable without any guarantee in the world that all of their basic needs are always going to be meet until they are capable of meeting them on their own (Hunger, Thirst, shelter, sex) and having to be a slave to an over-inflated piece of paper created by the government only valuable because society gives it value and no also no guarantee in the world that they are going to be competent enough to make a living on their own which is why a lot of otherwise smart people go broke and become homeless.

Our planet isn't supporting it's current population. We've polluted the air, water, and most of the arable land. We are fighting wars over places to put our overpopulation. Having kids is NOT satisfying. The responsible thing to do is to remain childless. To allow a baby to go full term in today's poisoned and troubled world has to be considered to be child abuse.

There is a HUGE difference between the conscious decision to bring a life into the world that you intend to love and mentor versus taking advantage of the opportunity to get your rocks off. Just like there is a difference between making babies and making a family. The former a function of happenstance while the later generally requires planning and forethought.
Having said that, the drive to reproduce is probably the strongest human desire after breathing, thirst, and hunger. Exercising sexual restraint, behaving sexually responsibly, requires higher brain functions, compassion, and a level of self awareness that goes against male baser instincts.
Said another way, at one time rape, incest, and murder were as natural to humans as living in caves. It took thousands of years of evolution for humans to invent things like human rights, chivalry, condoms, and so on. That some males choose to be respectable is definitely admirable, but you can't really blame all the ones who don't put forth any effort to fight their copious carnal appetites because the sex drive is coded in their DNA.
