Do you think the name christopher is a bit too stuffy? Is it too outdated thoughts.?
I would stay I'm ambivalent towards the name. The reason I don't like it is because it seems a bit stuffy to me. Although I seem to favor of longer names, I just don't like this one. I don't think I've ever met a Christopher that went by his given name. to me it seems they all go by Chris. It was always Chris. To me it only sounds right to say Christopher fully if it's the middle name. I'm not a big fan nicknames, I do find Chris to be an exception though. What are your thoughts? What are other names that you think are too stuffy for a full first name. I just wanted to see a general consensus on this thought is it just me?
The last dragon. Oh I wasn't trying to be hateful or anything, I hope that it doesn't come across that way. I was just seeing if I was the only one who had these thoughts. Thank you for you answer! And thank for any one who answers as well. I was just wanting to know different peoples views and such. Just a conversation starter so to speak because I was bored at the time. Sorry if this comes across as offensive, that wasn't really my intention.

There are a lot of quality guys named Chris, so for that reason alone the name gets points. But its usage is just so high, that I would opt for a less common name .... though I suppose the names Shawn and Conor are just as common, but I would still consider using them.

I like the name Christopher. I think it's more of a classic and i don't think it's stuffy at all. I like Chris as a nickname but I also like Topher.

Christopher is fine by me, and it seems popular among people I know.
They do often shorten it to Chris. Parents seem to use the full name Christopher for a baby, but shorten it to Chris as he learns to talk.
But if you don't care for the name, don't give it to your child. There are plenty of names.

I don't think it's outdated or stuffy but I've never liked the name Christopher. I prefer Christian.
