You don't just grind up weed and throw it in the brownie batter. You want to use the weed to make 'cannabutter'. You melt butter in a saucepan and mix the weed into it. You let it cook a while and the butter dissolves THC out of the weed. Then you strain out all the weed and that leaves cannabutter, which you use to bake the brownies.
There are several videos on YouTube that show you how to do it.
