b. If P( A∩B) =0.09 P( A) =0.2, then find P(B/A) , to the nearest hundredth. (1 mark)

    I'm assuming the formula you're using is some variant of 

    P(A∩B) = P(A) P(B|A) 

     

    a) If P(A) = 5/7 and P(B|A) = 2/6, then 

    P(A∩B) = P(A) P(B|A) = (5/7) (2/6) = (5/7) (1/3) = 5/21 

     

    b) If P(A∩B) = 0.09 and 

    P(A) = 0.2, then

    P(B|A) = P(A∩B) / P(A) = 0.09 / 0.2 = 0.45
