Smart phone or mobile phone.?
I have not got and have no desire to have a smart phone. Mine is a mobile phone with basic functions that suits me fine. How many people do not have smart phones?.

As "BikBear" wrote many people just have a mobile phone to get/make calls and text. Not everybody actually need a "smart" phone. The mobile phone users just don't talk about their phone like a lot of smart phone users "brag" about their units.

Doesn't actually matter how many people have or don't have smartphones. I own both.
Like you many people don't need a smartphone. More than the number that will even see your post. Many people just need a phone, to make calls when they need to, without hunting up a pay phone, waiting to get home/work.
