For everyone that is divorced while their spouse is still alive, do they go to hell? ?
Thats what the bible says.
Only exceptions are if they partner cheated or physically abused them that they are allowed to divorce

Many of them have already seen the worst that hell has to offer. You can believe what you will. It still remains a free world. But there is an awful lot in the Bible and people tend to choose those parts that suit whatever they personally wish to believe.

Yes.
That is why God gave humankind arsenic.
Source(s): I kid.. because actually God would prefer divorce to arsenic. FYI, the Bible was written by men who 'say' they had divine guidance... lol. The bible regularly contradicts itself. If someone today said that they had the visions of characters in the bible, everyone with a brain would claim were hallucinating, or scamming. - Coach SimonLv 72 months ago
The Bible is far from definitive: the early church removed a lot of the more spiritual tracts and it has been mistranslated and misunderstood ever since. Of course, there is still much wisdom contained in its leaves and a lot needs to be read at several different levels, not least John.
Life really is nothing like as simple as simply being good or bad and going to Heaven or Hell. Many religions take stands against divorced, abortion, contraception, etc. not for spiritual reasons but to ensure maximum procreation. Obviously in times past life expectancy was much lower than it is now due largely to infant mortality statistics.
