Before the internet came along in 1995, what was it like to be a travel agent?

You used to have books with all the schedules in tham that were updated by paper replacement pages that you swapped out in the notebooks all the time.I used to help my dad do that when I was young.

Travel Agents had access to Airline booking systems via direct links from the 1950's.

Your travel agent booked ALL of your needs as a package. Flight. hotel, car, event tickets, tours etc.

The perks for good agents were pretty good. Free flights hotels.

The internet was around long before 1995.
