Looking at purchasing a Honda Accord?

Avoid the V6 which has a cam belt that must be replaced at 100,000 miles at a cost of around $900. The 4 cylinder has plenty of power and gets great fuel mileage. All of these years are very dependable. 

Are there any year Accords that are better than others?

Yes, the one that had the owner that cared about car maintenance. 

You can go to any website such as Edmunds, Cars.com, etc. and look up reliability ratings for almost any make, year and model. It's not exactly rocket science, lazybones.

So you don't go away all butt-hurt, The Accord rates 4.7 to 4.8 fout of 5.0 for those years, so what it will come down to is the specific condoition of each vehicle in terms of how gently it has been driven and how well it has been maintained by the previous owners.

At minimum, an intelligent buyer who doesn't know much about cars would have any vehicle they consider buying professionally evaluated before they spend their money.
