To all those who are against trans athletes competing, what exactly is your position on Title IX; and what was it 10 years ago?

Trans women are men. Thus they are not allowed to compete in women's sports. This is a fact, not a position. I'm dying to know how you're going to gaslight me though.

My stand on the issue is the same as it has been decades and the same as most athletics competitions have for years.  People who are male should not be allowed to compete in athletic events that are restricted to females.  This is why the Olympic, international competitions and all competitions at that level have gender testing.  Why it is illegal for someone who was born male to taking hormones and then compete in female events.  They have been testing competitors for decades because that is a violation of the rules and unfair.

Title IX never addressed this issue 10 years ago because no one at that time ever figured that this would become an issue.  What Title IX does do is assure that sports for men and sports for women get equal funding and support.  Nothing in it says that they have to let a male compete in an event that is restricted to female competitors.  Or a female compete in an event that is restricted to male competitors.  It does assure that a person is not restricted in competition in a sport were participation is not restricted to a single gender.
