Marketing Plan for a Job Interview?

I have an interview tomorrow for a Digital Marketing Specialist position, and they are asking me to do a presentation and a marketing plan. Has anyone done a marketing plan for a job interview? From my experience, it takes a while to put together a marketing plan, and for them to ask me a day before the interview sounds a bit unprofessional. Or is this a "free" way of them asking for some useful information and not hire someone for the position?

Digital Marketing "Specialist" a very easy way to see if the person applying for that position has the very basics of skills/knowledge for the job they applied for........

If the job states Specialist then you need to have experience and think on your feet, you might have to come up with presentations within a day.

    They are testing you.
