Why are people losing their videos on Youtube? And, who's to blame for that? ?

From ignoring the rules and posting videos that breach copyright, are generally offensive (racist, sexist, hate speech etc.) or that just spread misinformation.

The rules are strict and are backed by law - and youtube has been threatened with legal action if they do not ensure all videos comply with the law.

Like on here, many people either do not read the site rules before posting, or just think that the rules do not apply to them.

Just look at all the "rant" and "chat" posts on this site as an example, where both ranting and chatting are violations. Some categories are 99% violations.
