Job training issues?

What do you do when you're asked to learn something new at your job, but the training is recorded... and your attention span is low, and you're lacking sleep...? What are ways to get around this, short of telling the boss that you may not be able to handle it?

You get more sleep and work on giving all your attention and focus to the recorded training. You can’t control the fact that the training is recorded, but you certainly can control your personal sleep situation (which isn’t your boss’s issue or concern anyway). If you have a low attention span, that is also within your control and something you can do something about. If you tell the boss you can’t handle it, you could put your job in jeopardy.
