for me, I use an HP laptop and I still don't have a way to get my laptop's screen to stop being sideways (like a tablet) whenever I turn it on!

To rotate your screen control Alt and use the up or down arrow or the left or the right arrow to flip your screen the proper way.

Now go into your settings not the control panel the settings that are on the start menu find where it says tablet mode. There's two settings. Choose never use tablet mode. Then in the second box underneath it choose don't ask me and never switch now click apply and restart your computer.

Now your computer will never switch to tablet mode again if you turn it on its side

it shouldn't start up that way. if it does, you need to reinstall your video drivers from the manufacturer's website.
you can switch back to normal quickly by holding CTRL + ALT, and tapping the UP arrow on the keyboard.
