What are some of the names you outgrew, or stopped liking? ?
For me some names were
Girls
---------
Evalee (eh-va-lee)
Esmerie (Ez-mer-ree)
Boys--------Amos (because it sounds too much like anus the the way most people pronounce it. I always pronounced it Ay-moos. But I found out I pronounced it wrong)TobiasThat's all that I can think of at the top of my head. I'm sure there's plenty more. Lol what about you guys?

Sometimes I stop liking a name because it becomes too popular, or sometimes I stop liking a name as much because I meet a person with that name who isn't nice or something like that. Other times I don't know, I just don't like it as much.
Girls:
Sophia/Sofia - too common, and started to not like the sound as much
Amanda - overtime thought it sounded too harsh
Aubrey -this one I flip flop on, right now I don't mind it so much
Delilah - used to love this one, but now my thought is "too many syllables"
Boys:
Liam
Jayden
Asher
That was a good question :) There's also a few names I love now that I used to not care for....
Tobias is my uncle's name, so I do like it

I wish I could recall. But I know that some names have lost favor over the years, while names I may not have initially been too fond of .... have grown on me. Sometimes even the meanings of names, have influenced me to change an opinion over a name, as names are words with meanings attached to them... but then there is also sound appeal to consider. The other factor that can change an opinion over a name is positive or negative encounters with people who have those names.
Tobias is pronounced differently in different cultures (for example To-bee-us in German, Tah-bye-us in British English) -- though Tobias is a Greek form of the name Toviah/Tobiah (Tohv-ee-Yah) which translates to Good is Yah. Tob/Tov is good, in Hebrew. Layla Tov means Good Night, Boker Tov means Good Morning.
Note: Greeks would end a lot of Hebrew names with an S. Matthew becomes Matthias/Mattathias, Elijah becomes Elias, Elisha/Elishua becomes Eliseus, Josiah becomes Josiah, Zachariah becomes Zacharias, Jonah becomes Jonas, Isaiah become Esaias, Ananiah becomes Ananias...etc...
Amos might also be Anglicized/English. A lot of Anglicized pronunciations are not the same as the original Hebrew. Though an A in English, can be like AH, AY, or A as in apple --- A's always have an AH sound in Hebrew. So Abraham/Avraham - is AH-BRAH-HAHM.... .not AY-BRAH-HAM -- note there is three different pronunciations for the letter A for this name, when Anglicized... that is confusion. In Hebrew, A is AH, E is AY, i is EE sounds
Also note that the name Jesus, also went through this process. The Greeks did not hae an SH, so the Hebrew word SHUA became SOUS, which was the Greek word for Salvation/Savior. Yah-sous. The reason that we English-speaking people use the J is because of the Germans, as the German language came before the English language in the Indo-European family tree. Though the Germans used J for Jesus, their J as a Y sound.... so Jesus in German is pronounced Yesus (Yay-soos, Yahsoos). Look up transliteration. A straight Hebrew to English translation of His name, would actually remain the same, without alteration. Yahshua - Yah Saves/Savior. Yehoshua/Yahoshua -- also valid is it contains the Theophoric Prefix. Yahu is used as a suffix behind many Hebrew names.

I liked some terrible names when I was younger! The worst were Brody, Spiral and Star for girls. I liked weird, hippy names. I also loved Jayden for a boy, but then it got way too popular. I prefer classic names these days.
It's a shame about Amos, I really like the name. I pronounce it Ay-moss. Don't know if that's right but it sounds nicer than the other ways. I don't find it similar to anus.

I can't think of any that I've changed my mind about. If I don't like a name I rarely warm up to it later. My sister called her son Dominic and we all hate it, but that was her choice. I couldn't care less about somebody else's name as it's not like it affects me in any way.
