If the current trend is for women to flaunt arm pit hair... why just THAT ?

It seems curious that some women declare displayed unshaved armpits as empowerment  . If body HAIR is their new focus , it seems in conflict to limit their "empowerment" display JUST to the hair that's growing under their arms .

    Is it? I guess I'm finally in fashion! (I'm prone to ingrown hairs and shaving makes it worse.)

    To show that they're not trying to compete for male approval, unlike the silent generation women did several decades ago.
