    "Does and don'ts"refer to the preferred practices (does) and actions to be avoided (don'ts).

    books are written about negotiation.  and for good reason.  fairly obviously, the experienced negotiator has an advantage.  so does the one that is well versed in psychology.  as does the one who knows the limits of his negotiating range, as well as those of the other side.
