instagram private or un private?

i only have problem with my 3 of my old friends back at my home state who i grew up with i believe it jealousy cause i get move and go camping with my family and close friends at the dunes/ flying a airplane with my grandpa and his friends since he live in a airpark/go racing my parents. and all they do they go to work  and come home after to there kids or there men on the phone or on weekends with their friends to bar drink up. anyways it also it happend after i move 17 years go so i moved on so i can be my self happy and i dont need revenge now i let karma come round so anyways. i am on debating if i want keep my instagram private or un private, what you do if they block you, do you keep private or un private cause i also get the people look at instagram story with my blue check mark if i keep un private but idk if they check on me on there fake account, what would you leave it as?
