Chocolate in my sink is attracting alot of ants, and i think the ants bite my hand. solutions? ?
I make alot of desserts (alot more than i should), and it tends to involve alot of chocolate. problem is, putting chocolate-covered dishes in the sink causes these red ants to take over the sink, and taking dishes out of the sink gets the ants all over my hand and it feels like they might actually be biting my hand. how can i prevent this?

Clean the dishes immediately to deprive the ants of food, and yes some species of ants bite and fire ants can kill a pet or a trapped human. But now that they think your kitchen is a source of food, once the chocolate is gone they will come exploring for something else to eat. You are going to need to put out baits and possibly poisons and then change your house keeping routines to be spotless. If that doesn't work call an exterminator.

Crazy Idea here - but WASH the dishes as you go. No food no ants - (SMH)
