Are Australians regretting their gun legislation after the Port Arthur massacre, since they should have offered thoughts & prayers instead?

Both Australia and the UK should have issued thoughts and prayers instead of reducing the easiness of purchasing guns.

Nope. We're more than happy with the zero massacres we've had since Port Arthur. Mind you, it probably helps that I dont need to compensate for having a tiny, tiny p*nis.

One glance at the USA is enough to convince us that we are much better off this way.  So you would be hard pressed to find an Australian who is against us living a safe and happy life. Our thoughts and prayers are for those poor people trapped in the USA.
