Do I qualify??
I'm 73yrs of age, have hypertension(on meds) & proxysmal afib (take a blood thinner). I don't know where I stand when it comes to the covid vaccines. There's conflicting information. My Dr office recordings asks patients not to call enquiring, but refers us to our District Health Unit website. No point in me phoning them..they never answer the phone. The information on the site isn't clear for what I need to know. My roommate who is 66yrs of age, works in a brewery & she found out as recently as yesterday that her factory may qualify to get the vaccines because they're considered as producing "food". So that puts her ahead of me?????
What should I do?
"Tavy" answer didn't answer the question. Bottom line here is...do I qualify to be in Phase 2 (Ontario, Canada).
I find it hard to believe that someone who processes beer would qualify as a food processer. It is what it is.
Just later t his morning, the website posted "new"......'those 70-74 can pre-register"..which I have done.

Your age puts you in stage 2 regardless of your health conditions. Depending on your health unit will determine exactly when that starts. Where I live people over 70 can book appointments. Where my parents live they are making appointments for people 75 and older.

Looking at the website, you will both come under phase 2.
As a food manufacturing worker, your friend is eligible at the start of phase 2, depending on when an appointment can be arranged. This is not dependent on age or health.
Your Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation MAY qualify you at the start of phase 2, depending on severity. If mild, you will probably have to wait until later in stage 2 with others the same age.

If she's an essential worker, then she may get put ahead of you.
You can try emailing your district health units website and see if you get a response.
