If cowards wanna say something rude, they can do it without hiding behind a mask.

It's unnecessary, if I have something g super sensitive to post i use a yahoo account I haven't put my name or shown my face in answers on. By having things anonymous it allows people to abuse the system and say messed up things without being able to block

Sure they can, if they want to. It's their website after all. I have found "anonymous" is the best way to avoid stalkers though.

CAN they? Of course. They programmed it to exist, they can remove it.
WILL they? Unlikely, as the abuse of it has been complained about for quite some time (here and in the feedback forum) and it still exists. After all, it was the users here (many years ago) that requested the feature, so they could post about sensitive topics, while hiding their YA identity.

A violation is a violation, Anon or not. If you see a violation, report it. Most users don't say rude things Anon because they are 'cowards' but to prevent their target from blocking them.

So what if Yahoo Answers removes the anonymous feature?
Do you think "Variable 46" is my real name?

I like it so I can answer my item questions without people assuming I'm answering my own question. So I could post a question many other people have and answer it as I would of someone else posted it. It's just a way to teach people different ways to think and understand things, which they need now now than ever.
