Is this question correct about nuclear fission and fusion reactions?

    #29) Fission is correct, but your equation is incorrect. Normally I'd say "Go to the periodic table and find an element with atomic weight

    w = 1 + 235 - 101 - 3*1 = 132

    and atomic number n = 0 + 92 - 42 - 3*0 = 50."

    But if you do, you won't find anything. Your equation is nonsense -- there is no decay chain through Mendelevium (Md), and its numbers are 258 / 101 (not 101 / 42).

    Instead, the proper reaction is

    [1 0]n + [235 92] U → [141 56]Ba + [92 36]Kr + 3 [1 0]n
