    It sounds a little awkward, and I think most of us would expect "was impeccable" rather than "is impeccable", but your sentence is grammatically correct.

    While "Her poem recitation in the competition is impeccable." is correct, it might actually be better as: "That poem competition of her recitation sounds impeccable."

    IS my sentence below grammatically correct?  Yes.  Your usage of "is" rather than "was" is unusual, but it is correct.
