Who else thinks that Jon Jones wants too much to fight Francis?

He wants half as much money as what Floyd Mayweather got for boxing. I am not a Floyd Mayweather fan but keep in mind Floyd Mayweather is undefeated Jon is not. Floyd Mayweather is guilty of committing some crimes but nothing as bad as what Jon Jones did by hitting a pregnant woman's car and driving away. Mayweather never tested positive for drugs .  Look how many consistent positive drug test Jon has had

Update:

I agree fighters deserve to get paid more and I agree there needs to be better advocacy but based off of all of Jones's positive drug test and has transgressions I don't feel he's worth 50 million. Truthfully he's lucky if he gets 10 mil

The question is whether he is even capable of bringing in that kind of money to begin with. He is a very divisive fighter, but not the way McGregor is because he doesn’t have the personality to bring in the haters just hoping to see him lose. The people that hate Jones will skip events and just find out what happened later. So either Jones just doesn’t want the fight (who would want to fight Ngannou anyway? Terrifying!) or he is trying to set a high bar so that he can max out what he can get in negotiations.

It's sort of complicated. On one hand Jon is one of the greatest fighters in MMA history. Just not the GOAT because of his transgressions. He also helped build the brand of the years. So he has more pull than most other fighters. He does need to stop going overboard though. A lot of his commentary is laughable considering his mistakes and recent lackluster performances. Sometimes it feels like he's under the impression he's bigger than the UFC (which is false). I think at least some of the reason he's asking for a lot is because he knows the high level of risk involved.

But there's also the bigger problem of pay in general. The UFC rakes in so much, and the fighters make so little percentage of the companies profits. Things needs to change.
