Can you wear dark jeans to a interview?

I would not wear any color jeans to an interview. But perhaps it depends upon the type of job for which you are applying: if you're in construction, who cares !

My personal rule is to either wear clothes on the same level as current employees wear, or one step above.

So if it’s for a job for a dive bar or construction company?  Or a fast food restaurant? Probably fine.
