Why is my PC games showing xbox buttons when I use a ps4 controller?
It's displaying xbox buttons and it's annoying. How can I make it show the playstation buttons like its supposed to?

Most new games have Xbox controller prompts because most of them use Xinput for controller support, which was specifically designed for the Xbox 360 controller originally.
Some games give you the option of changing the symbols for prompts but not many, or they may have fan-made mods that change those symbols.

The game shows what the game shows. It doesn't matter what controller it uses. The game probably has no idea what you are using. That's all handled by the drivers to give the games a consistent interface to whatever controller you are using and then is device-specific to let you use whatever controller you want.
If you want to see PS4 buttons, play the game on a PS4.
