Misogyny and misandry, much like racism, are just feelings some hold in their hearts and minds. When these feelings motivate crimes they are "criminally punishable". But we don't yet have thought police who can act on someone's innermost beliefs.

    Sexism is already illegal.

Both misogyny and misandry are ways of thinking and you can't make them illegal because you can't reliably detect them.

You can make misogynist or misandrous ACTS illegal, I suppose, but by-and-large, we call those hate crimes, or at least acts against women because they are women.  Note that I deliberately used "women" in my example because society doesn't seem to abhor crimes against men because they are men.

    Thinking cannot be made illegal.

No laws. I'd want INFORMAL social sanctions, where their PEERS beat the living shlt out of people who make misandrist or misogynist remarks in public.

Short of the classic example of yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater, the State has no business telling people what they can and can't say.

The mere EXISTENCE of "speech crime" is a sign that a State has no right to exist, and that the government that heads it is BADLY in need of a total purge by blood.

    And I MEAN *total.*

there's a very thin line between love and hate...i don't believe in misogyny, misandry,  misanthropy or philanthropy...

however, redneckism, beggarness and doormatism are universally real...

the film "fatal attraction", for example, encompasses all 3 :)
