Onedrive - quicker than downloading files?
Is working on files via Onedrive better than downloading them if have a slow computer?
ie,will the spec of my deivce affect the speed which files can be processed or if working online instead, will the speed of the internet connection be the issue which dictates this?

OneDrive IS downloading them. They are uploaded / synced to Microsoft's servers, and are downloaded when you access them from another computer. The only difference from an end-user perspective is that it's mostly transparent.
