It has been that way for many years.
The CCP now controls all media in the US so it's all lies and propaganda

There's no shortage of fake news because people line up to buy it. I double check for confirmation, know the difference between fact/opinion, am aware of what's omitted and am prepared to stall convictions pending more data. I don't know what you do but it sounds like not enough. I'm educated, intelligent, informed and honest. You? ... I don't know. Sounds to me like you embarrass yourself blaming others for your mistakes.

You must watch a whole lot of foreigner-owned sued-to-lie Fox, which does rely regularly on deliberate distortions, propaganda, and right-wing opinions favored by their big-money sponsors.
As a military-trained journalist from the 1960s, I can intelligently and articulately disagree with you. What is in it for you to try undermining our nation's Free Press?Opinion journalism is crap, I'd agree. But well-researched reporting such as we can get with MSNBC, especially their evening programming, or with CNN, PBS, NPR, and other reputable news outlets is informative and objective.

Depends on the media. Certainly a lot of what Fox "News" says is garbage. They are a GOP propaganda network and they've been caught lying multiple times. They spliced in footage of a different rally to make it look like a Tea Party rally was bigger than it was. They used footage from California to make it look like a labor protest was violent. The real labor protest was in Michigan, but there are palm trees in the background of the footage.

The main problem is that they don't report things. What we don't know we can't worry over. Like we're children who need to be protected from the world. It's pretty much the same in here. The UK has virtually been under lockdown for over a year, and people are asking does this nail varnish suit me? Wake up. Do you remember there was a war going on in Syria? When was the last time this was mentioned? What about all the anti lockdown demonstrations all over the world, are they being shown on the BBC?

Not exactly. The media tells the truth but not the whole truth. There's a lot of self- censorship along lines of national interest. Like I only recently found out that Britain is exterminating Yemenis. The media tells it like they just fund Saudi Arabia to do it, but they're actually doing it themselves too - sending death squads of SAS war criminals.

Of course. Objectivity in media has been dead for decades. Reporting the facts does not generate revenue, so they go with sensationalized nonsense (both the right and left).

The media are supposed to report facts a lot of the time so why do you think that?
