Virtually EVERY year some moron starts the rumour that YA is closing down.

This has been happening since at least 2006 but guess what? I am still here and I simply take absolutely no notice of the stupid immature morons who constantly tell us YA is closing down.

Have you seen any posts from the administrators of YA anywhere, either here or emails to subscribers etc? If so I would like the links.

I have to say though that if id did close down I would lose not one seconds sleep about it.

Even though I have subscribed to this site for over a decade with the way the YA administrators care absolutely nothing for their genuine subscribers like me and allow anonymous morons to post WHATEVER they want from abuse, racism, advocating violence and terrorism and all stops in between YA will not be a great loss to the world.

However if the owners of YA actually got their act together and purged 90% of the immature morons whose sole intention was destroy the site they would soon find that they would get the 90% of those they kicked off back with genuine subscriber who truly want to help people in the same way it was when I first joined the site

Now I will sit back and watch the 'Thumbs Downs' appear on this post which will show all the genuine subscribers how many people are only interested in turning this site which was once the worlds best Q&A site on the Internet into the worst and a laughing stock.

    ADDENDUM

Please accept my apologies for not noticing the post saying YA is closing.

This certainly appears to be genuine especially as there are a number of FAQs offering advice about downloading your personal Q&As since subscribing.

I hope you will accept what I said about reports of YA closing being posted for years by idiotic, troublemaking posters.

I must admit I am not surprised that YA will close but I don't blame the genuine posters here for this. The blame rest undeniably at the feet of the Yahoo Answers administrators because they have allowed, in only a few short years, YA to be degraded from the BEST Q&A site on the Internet to the very, very worst because they refused to moderate the site as it should be and allowed abusive posts, racist posts and literally 1000s of posts that broke Yahoo Answers own rules and did absolutely NOTHING to protect the sight or its subscribers.

Having been a Moderator on two other Q&A sites I am perfectly aware of how they should be run and how to protect the subscribers, which is extremely important.

Although I have subscribed here for over a decade I doubt I will be sorry to see it close down but I would have much preferred the administrators got their act together and returned this site to the wonderful, helpful and extremely well respected site it once was.
