If you started a club with challenges and ways to measure success, there'd be some uplift. If some reached the honestly wealthy, they would carry it forward.

A good role model for modeling empathy is Edith Stein, the beloved and wise student of Edmund Husserl. She wrote her doctoral thesis, "The Empathy Problem as it Developed Historically and Considered Phenomenologically," and was awarded highest honors. Imho, later Husserl took up this inter-monadic question in his "Crisis." Born on Yom Kippur, and a brilliant student from an early age, (Saint) Teresia Benedicta a Cruce chose that to be her Catholic name, honoring Saint Teresa of Avila, by whose writings on empathy and more brought her to embrace Catholicism. (Interestingly, Saint Teresa of Avila knew both her father and paternal grandfather were Jewish believers who had converted to Catholicism during the Spanish Inquisition.)
The writings of both of these Saints are well worth reading. Saint Teresa of Avila's writings show the Christ Mindfulness on just about every page of her major works, e.g. "Interior Castle."
