I love the lifestyle & music of the 70s/80s (Queen, Bowie, Wham!, Live Aid) but I can’t accept I’ll never see them live?
I’m a huge fan of the 70s/80s, despite not living through them. It breaks my heart that I’ll never see my favourite artists in their prime or performing live. I watched Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time recently and it really touched me hugely. I can’t stop thinking about it. It makes me so sad how I’ll never be able to thank my heroes for the impact they’ve had on me personally and the influence they’ve had on my dreams. The fact I’ll never get new content from them or see them in concert is really hard to rap my head around and almost makes me panic. Is there any way I can feel less emotional when listening to them or a way I can feel more connected to them? I’d love to follow in their footsteps. They’re massive inspirations

I feel you are romanticizing them a lot. I used to be a fan of Wham, and I think their music is just for kids from the 80s. Honestly listen to something else, or see a therapist because you probably have some other problem.

Wow... I grew up during the 70's. I remember all the older people telling us how terrible our music was! Lol. A lot of songs from the 70's really have become classics. I liked some of the songs at the time, but now I appreciate them more. I have not purposely listened to one single song written since 1990 or so! Now I am one of the old people.

You could try finding new music that you also love and feel passionate and excited about. You have 13 days to ask in Y!A for suggestions. There is a ton of music out there these days. You just have to be able to find it.

yeah, I miss Freddie Mercury, Prince, MJ, and all the other great bands and music of the 60's - 90's. the stuff now is crap. I can't even name a good band.
