How will Yahoo make a profit by getting rid of Yahoo amswers?

They just don't want people on their website.

    They'll make less of a loss perhaps; Yahoo Answers is unlikely to be doing anything but costing money with no incoming revenue

    I suppose one possible reason is that it’s one thing less they have to deal with and less resources they had to divert to.

     Due to violations of laws and regulations and the relevant provisions of fundamental liberty guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution. As such, courts and legislative bodies have on previous occasions warned Verizon Communications that the broadcast media arm of the company has been reported to The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for breaches of the Privacy Act. FCC media scan confirm that a considerable volume of media content focuses on abusive contents.

     As such, courts and legislative bodies have now issued it’s final warning to Verizon Communications. FCC issues these licenses and is in charge of regulating all media, by breaching the act the current license will be revoked under this format.
