Scared I have breast cancer ?
Hi, so I'm 26 and I have the worst Heath anxiety ever! I'm so terrible. But I really can't help it!..I've been feeling my breasts and I've noticed that the chest part of my left breast, the chest wall I believe it's called, is quite lumpy..and the harder I push down I can feel them.. and I'm so scared that it's breast cancer! I can't stop my mind from worrying..I do have a few veins on my breasts aswell so not sure if it's them. I'm going to ring my doctor tomorrow but I'm worried that he is going to put it down to my anxiety as he is aware that I suffer from it really bad..I felt my other breast and I think it feels the same I'm not sure..sometimes my mind goes overdrive and tells me that it isn't!..I just need some reassurance Happy will be very grateful so I can get some sleep tonight x

it's extremely rare at your age to have ANY serious health problems.
You need to get your irrational fear of everything under control or THAT is what will eventually cause health problems

Those lumps on your chest wall? They are called ribs.
When doing a breast self check you should be pressing gently, as if you were stroking a small puppy or kitten.
Your breasts are SUPPOSED to have veins, they are fairly vascular tissue.
NORMAL breast tissue is fairly lumpy anyway. What you are feeling for are changes from YOUR normal.
Have you ever had a professional exam and been shown the correct technique?
When is your period due? The week before your period and during your period, hormonal changes make your breast tissue extra lumpy. Breast self checks should always be done the week AFTER your period.
