When surveying for one variable, and you have multiple items.. do all of them have to have the same response options?

I am trying to measure resilience and come up with a scale, I am using a likert scale for a response option for about 6 questions (that are looking at resilience). I want to give situational type of questions to see the responses as well.. like what would you do in this situation.. I feel like I would have respondents rank order them.. would I be able to use all the scores from all 10 questions to come up w an overall score? Or because the response options are different I wouldnt be able to configure it? Thanks!
