Do I need antivirus protection for a laptop? Notice in the product information they do not specify laptops? Is is not possible to cover laptops?

for people who do not surf questionable websites or download [deleted -- this is a family site] -- you don't need any anti-virus more than the free version that is built into Windows 10

Assuming you are running Windows 10, it has a build in anti-virus called Defender. You do not need any other anti-virus.
Any anti-virus is going to work the same on a laptop as it does on a desktop. The anti-virus does not know what it is running on. It just interfaces with the Windows program (which is the same on either a desktop or a laptop.) So it will work the same on a desktop or a laptop,.

If you are using a windows computer whether it is a laptop or a desktop you should get antivirus. All windows 10 computers have a good antivirus already built in - windows defender. If you are not running windows 10 you should upgrade to it.
