Getting a partial denture-sad?

One of my teeth needs to be removed this month. I'm devastated they can't save it. :( it is the one next to my canine tooth. So, it's noticeable.

I'm going to need to wear a partial denture. I'm so sad about it. I never expected to lose my tooth this young in life. It is really hurting my already low self esteem. I don't know how to get used to this idea this is happening to me. :(

Any advice how to feel better about this? Thank you in advance.

I can't afford an implant

Not sure I ever will be able to in the future. :(

I always thought I took good care of my teeth. I guess not. :(

The tooth went really bad , due to cavities. It can't be saved. The dentist told me.

There are lots of reasons that you loose teeth, not related to dental care.

Why are you getting a denture instead of an implant?

I had a partial denture at 21.. did not bother me one little bit.

    Get your head round it.

Just remember you're going to get a tooth to fill in that gap soon, so you'll have that to be thankful for.  Maybe sometime in the future you could get an implant in that spot.  They are just like a real tooth.  And they are expensive, so it's something you'd have to save money for sometime later.
