My ex is asking for a gift back?
Hello,
My ex and I have just broken up and she's asking for the Nintendo switch she gave me back. I have text message evidence of her telling me that it belongs to me.
She is 22 and I'm 24 (we were in a gay relationship) and she has got her mother to text me threatening to call the police if I don't give it back and that it won't end well if I don't.
Legally, do I have to give it back? She told me countless times that it belongs to me and instantly switched and accusative once I broke up with her.
Thank you,
Mary

If you were in a relationship, then it would be considered a gift. Tell them to sue you if they want to try, and tell the mother that if she ever contacts you again, you'll file charges against her for threatening you.

If it was given as a gift, then no, of course not. That said, depending on circumstances, it may be more morally proper to return it.
