Which is a painful death by dying from cancer or heart attack?

There are many different cancers, but the ones I'm familiar with have a long, drawn-out death with increasing disability, need for care, and pain that's often unmanageable.

Heart attacks hurt horribly, I hear, but if you die of it, the pain doesn't go one for very long.

Some heart attacks are quick. But I'd say cancer is by far the worst way to die. Today doctors often prescribe narcotics to make end of life easier. Some cancer patients have a morphine drip connected to them to constantly keep them high so that death is easy like going to sleep.

All pain is controllable once you've accepted that you will die and don't have safety constraints. Most people with cancer don't give up right away, though.

A heart attack is more of a surprise, so potentially more painful. And you may survive, but with less ability to care for yourself which can create or prolong suffering. Cancer can lesson your ability to care for yourself too, of course.

Neither are a great option.

cancer is more horrible. My Mom died from it.
