Are you bilingual?
If so, how'd you do it? How long did it take?

Yes, I consider myself fully bilingual. I was raised and educated that way so I've never known anything different. At various times of my life I've been more or less fluent in two other languages as well but since I've no need to use either of them all day, every day they've receded and I really have to concentrate hard to read, listen, speak and, worst of all, write! I'm sure my brain could get back into gear if I moved countries but I can't seem to will it back without necessity breathing down my neck which really annoys me tbh.

My parents taught me Spanish as my first language and then in school I got taught Dutch, French, English and German.
Damn 9 fingers! I've always wanted to try out learning Russian :)

No, I'm quintilingual. In addition to English. I speak Korean, German, Russian, Japanese and Spanish. I grew up on German. Learned Korean to impress my in-laws. Learned Spanish in a year. Russian took me three years to be fluent(but I rarely use it now). Japanese took me over 5 years.
Update-Russisch lernen begann als Lerche. Nur um zu sehen, ob ich durchkommen könnte. Aber ich habe es geliebt.
