Liberals, do you agree with the Biden administration that businesses shouldn't be able to find a place to do business that taxes them less?
The Biden administration is working with the rest of the world to raise corporate taxes and other taxes on the rich, so that instead of fleeing high taxes businesses have no means to escape and just has to pay.
That's a fun way to oppress people, right?
Gosh, it's almost like the founders had a good reason to be against direct taxation.
That's exactly what they said. They said they are working with other countries to raise corporate taxes and other taxes on the rich to avoid companies from fleeing, but no deal has yet been reached. They are literally working together to impede on the freedom of a class people to make stealing from them easier.
@Judy and Charlie: They have the right to take their business where they please in order to avoid taxes they don't want to pay.
Elwood Blues: I'm fully aware of the 16th amendment and I'm also against it existing.
@Mercuri: There is no such thing as fair taxation. Taxation is unfair by its very nature.

I'm all for fair taxation. If they want to do business in the US they need to pay their share of taxes. If they don't want to pay taxes then they are welcome to move everything offshore and cease selling in the US.

The Biden admin is doing the right thing in preventing corporations from using offshore loopholes to evade taxes. Your reading of the Constitution is a little bit behind the times; the founders' ideas on income tax were overridden in 1913. Did you also miss WWI & WWII? PLEASE try to keep up.

When American businesses move their operations off-shore and thus escape fair taxation in America and take those American jobs away, then, yes....they should be NAILED TO THE WALL and their goods should have a heavy embargo placed on them. Thus, Americans will shun their goods and opt to buy American goods which will be cheaper.
When Nixon opened trade with Red china in the 1970's our American jobs went overseas: good paying union jobs were lost. And about 10 years after that, Ronald Reagan and the dirty Republicans employed the useless Trickle Down Economy rules that just made the wealthy richer and the American worker poor.
