Signs of interest on Facebook?

I’ve been friends on Facebook with a gentleman I met through his family for a number of years. Occasionally his posts would show up in my feed and I’d like them but rarely was it ever returned, probably because he was married at the time. After some time, I cleaned up my friends list & I deleted him; he noticed and sent me a friends request, which I accepted. Since adding him back, he’s liked the majority of my current posts. Is it possible that since he noticed I deleted him and him liking my posts now, that he may have interest?
