Why is a common response from the left, when an MLK quote is brought up, is "Look what happened to him"?

I mean, its not like people who lead violent revolutions end up breathing. Look at John Brown.

@?: And like I said, did John Brown have a better result?

@?: None of that is relevant. You could say the exact same thing about MLK.

The point is, he started a violent revolution and ended up getting killed. So whats with the double standard in regards to "Look what happened to him" when referring to MLK?

MLK was a windbag nothing he said ever made sense , he never climbed a mountain and looked over the other side and even today people are not judged on the color of their skin but on their behavior

Yes, look at what happened to MLK & Co.  Look familiar?  And the cops blamed them for starting it.

Well the American Civil War happened thus John Brown was correct in believing  violence was necessary to end American slavery, as years of speeches, sermons, petitions, and moral persuasion had failed.  He was the hero and icon of the North; from 1859 until Lincoln's assassination in 1865, he was the most famous American. Union soldiers marched to the new song "John Brown's Body", that portrayed him as a heroic martyr whose "truth is marching on"; it was the origin of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic". Newly-freed blacks walked to the same song, and they lowered their voices speaking of Brown, as if he were a saint.
