Wouldn't it be in China's best interest to report a higher death count?

Then no one would think it's a bioweapon. Also, since China seems to barely be affected by the virus, they're in a better position to pay reparations for failing to quarantine the virus.

You can not blame China for a virus that was first discovered there when you, as a nation did far worse in your response, especially since you had forewarning.

The good thing about China's response was that they enforced the lock down with the military setting up barricades on every street corner, that was also the bad thing in my opinion.  But considering how many people ignored the lock down in the US, maybe China was right?

    China lies about EVERYTHING.

And they KILL all those who threaten to expose their lies.

MANY in China were KILLED by the government for talking to reporters about COVID.

The first whistle blower doctor was in perfect health until he tried to war the world.

    He was murdered within weeks

No, you have to understand how the CCP works. It's all honor based. Any deaths from this virus is considered an embarrassment, so the fewer the deaths they report, the more they can claim they did the best job. That's why they are lying about their numbers
