"Divide and conquer" isn't a game it's a philosophical political, militaristic tactical strategy...google it, it means get different people against each other therefore making each weaker, making them both easier to control, and dominate.(and it's something i hate btw) it's facist and it's authoratarian,
The game franchise you maybe are referring to would be command and conquer....a classic slightly OTT RTS (realtime strategy) with prob the best soundtrack in video game history imho from Frank Klepacki
